Joachim M. Buhmann became a Full Professor of Computer Science at ETH Zurich in 2003. His main research focus: algorithms in the empirical sciences. He worked on machine learning, computer vision and statistical data analysis, bridging the gap between the engineering and life sciences.

Joachim M. Buhmann is to retire at the end of July. His farewell lecture on AI and learning (in German) will take place today from 5.15 to 6.30 pm in the Audi Max (HG F30) and via external pagelivestream.
